ANGAU Dental configured for structured dental records and supply management
The Dental department at ANGAU Memorial Provincial Hospital is mapped and configured in Moana, with go live at ANGAU expected in the coming weeks. The mapping was carried out with the hospital’s dental officers, including Dr Kameso.
The full dental encounter
The configuration covers the full dental encounter: referral source, chief complaint, oral examination findings, WHO classification, diagnosis, radiology and laboratory orders, treatment and prescribing. Structured fields are drawn from the department’s existing practice.
Supply management
At the department’s request, supply management is built into the same system. Stock is linked to suppliers, and allocations and damaged stock are recorded alongside clinical activity. Consumption is captured at the point of care, giving the department earlier warning of shortages.
Service planning and reporting
Structured records support service planning and reporting for the department.
