Platform

Hospital operations on the same live data as clinical care.

Beds and wards, operating theatres, workforce, appointments, billing and analytics run on the same record as clinical care. Hospital leaders see occupancy, flow and performance as it happens, and act on evidence rather than end of month reports.

Bed, theatre and staffing information is usually gathered by telephone and whiteboard.

For hospital managers, department heads and operations teams.

Overview

Hospital Operations

Beds, theatres, staff and analytics on live data.

Operational decisions in a hospital are clinical decisions with a delay. Whether a bed is available, whether a theatre list can absorb an emergency case, whether a ward is safely staffed: each depends on information that is usually gathered by telephone and whiteboard. Moana puts that information on one screen, drawn from the same record clinicians are already using.

Bed and ward management updates as patients are admitted, transferred and discharged, with housekeeping status and capacity by ward. The theatre control tower shows each room’s live case, the day’s ordered list and the blockers to the next case, with emergency cases slotted in and utilisation measured over time.

Workforce, rosters and departments are linked to the worklists that follow staff onto the ward.

Reports and analytics cover capacity, patient flow, clinical activity, workforce, registry, maternity, departments, referrals and finance over any period, with thresholds and a briefing that can be exported in one step. Charges are captured as care is delivered, and invoices, payments, insurance claims and cashier shifts are managed in the same system.

Live status reduces idle capacity and delays between cases.

  • Earlier escalation

Thresholds highlight pressure in emergency and on the wards before it becomes a crisis.

  • Revenue captured at source

Charges recorded with care reduce missed billing.

  • Board ready reporting

Briefings export directly from live data for management and governance meetings.
