Moana and ANGAU Memorial Provincial Hospital

Moana is working with ANGAU Memorial Provincial Hospital in Lae, under the Morobe Provincial Health Authority in Papua New Guinea. ANGAU serves a catchment of about 2.8 million people across the Momase region.
Data mapping and configuration are complete, worked through department by department with the staff who run each one.
Several departments came to the team directly after seeing the work in the clinical areas, which has widened the scope beyond the original pilot.
What comes next
The next phase is the rollout and staff training on site, with the Moana team working alongside the hospital’s own ICT staff. ANGAU owns its data. Moana maintains the system and provides support on site and remotely.
ANGAU owns its data.
ANGAU has also asked about bringing its paper records into the system. Moana offers two routes:
- import from existing spreadsheets and systems, or
- digitisation of paper records with a final human check before anything enters the record.
